Autumn Card with Charlie the Horse

It was hot and humid just a few days ago, but now it's got that autumn chill in the air. I couldn't wait to make some fall cards. I recently made my first purchase from Clear Dollar Stamps. I saw some really cute stamps at VERY REASONABLE prices. I only ordered a few stamp sets because I wanted to try them out.

I was NOT disappointed! The package came quickly and the stamps are great. Nice clear images. I fell in love with one of their characters Charlie the Horse. There is also his girlfriend, Charliene. These are adorable stamps. The autumn set has the large image, a quote from Nobel Prize winner (Literature 1957), Albert Camus. This is one of my favorite autumn quotes:

"Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower" --Albert Camus.

Here's Charlie the Horse, colored with my Copics. Remember ... I'm still learning and I don't have a large collection of colors (yet!).

Used my rectangle Nestabilities to cut the ivory background where I stamped the image, and a larger rectangle cut from some Basic Grey AMBROSIA paper for the frame. A little bit of waxed twine, inking around the edges of the ivory panel, a scrap of fall-ish striped paper as the background for the quite, and 3 dew drops. I am really loving the DEW DROPS!!! Some Magic Mesh running down the one side of the card added a little dimension to the plain light rust color of the card base.

I think Charlie is just adorable! I have already stamped like 5 more of these images and am planning to color and made them using different papers. Send them out to some friends and family.
